Make sure to talk with your doctor first if you are taking certain antibiotics or acne medications. Waxing requires about ¼ inch of hair growth. Any shorter and the wax may not be able to grip the hair, and any longer and the hair may break instead of being removed causing more discomfort. You must be okay with letting your hair grow between waxing appointments.

To begin the wax process, your provider will clean the area being waxed. Once the wax is heated to the right temperature, your provider will apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth using a disposable spatula. A strip of special waxing paper is then placed over the wax. Before holding down the skin and quickly pulling the strip up, your provider will rub the wax strip to make sure every hair is securely attached. The pain of each strip is very quick. As you continue to get waxed the hair will grow back finer making the experience quicker and more comfortable.
Waxing Results
Immediately after you wax, you may notice a slight stinging or heated sensation at the treatment site. Your provider will apply a soothing and nourishing cream, that will provide a cooling sense of relief. Because the skin is delicate after you wax, you will want to avoid sun exposure and the use of any products that could potentially irritate the skin. To maintain the soft texture, you can apply baby oil as a moisturizer.
